About

TouchDesigner is a node based visual programming language for real-time interactive multimedia content, developed by the Toronto-based company Derivative. You can see it as a combination of Processing, After Effects and Cinema4D. However, the interface uses wires and other inputs to transfer information from one function to another in a logical progression. Visual programming is a type of programming language that lets humans describe processes using graphics instead of text-based metaphors.

Conclusion/reflection

TouchDesigner is a great and powerful tool to experiment with. I have to say, I haven't used it a lot during this project, because it is not really what I was looking for. TouchDesigner is a more visual programming software, whereas I focused more on text-based programming instead — for example processing.
